feeling good, feeling great, how are you?

This was the view from my window this morning. I really can't remember the last time I saw the sunrise, it was so beautiful I was almost late to class!

All of my classes have been great. I'm taking 8.. here's a quick rundown of my schedule if anyone cares..

Monday:
Banned Books of the 20th Century in the US and Germany (taught half in German, half in English)
Comedy on the German and American Stage (again, half and half)
Tuesday:
Listening comprehension, reading comprehension, and text production for German as a foreign language
Bible and Koran
Wednesday:
End of the war and re-building
Listening comprehension for German as a foreign language
Thursday:
Conversation for German as a foreign language
Girls Film
Friday:
Nothing!! YAY!

This will probably be the most relaxing semester of my college career, despite the fact that almost all of the classes are taught in German. I don't need to worry about grade - all I need to do is pass. Oh yeah, and learn German. It's getting much easier though, sometimes I really surprise myself with how much I understand.

Tonight is Spunk, the student bar in one of the dormitories on campus. Not going to stay out very late though, Conversation starts at 8:30 tomorrow morning... Yikes.

So, nothing really new to report. I'm over my cold (thank god). I'm going to London next month for my birthday weekend (YAY!) I'm almost finished with Harry Potter und der Stein der Weisen (the first book). I'm going to try to read the whole series again auf Deutsch while I'm here. Time to do some ModCloth work. I love and miss you all... whoever reads this thing anyway....

in the states it would be... here most students take between 8 and 12 in a semester. the classes only meet once a week for 1.5 hours (with the exception of mädchenfilme, which meets for 4 hours once a week). and there's not much homework required here - usually just an in-class oral report (referat) and a big paper or test at the end.
